Monster of the Day #728

Hey, she is so too a monster! Universal themselves said so! See? Huh? Can’t argue with that!

Too bad she couldn’t have hitched up with the hunchback from the previous film.

  • Gamera977

Dang Universal! She was a sweetheart, and much cuter than the blonde nurse.

Love to see her and I-got get together.
“You stick wif me, luv. I got a great gig.”

  • Rock Baker

Sweetest monster in movie history. Possibly my favorite character in the film, really.

  • Eric Hinkle

Agreed completely! For that matter, the mad scientist was portrayed throughout most of the film as being both a brilliant and compassionate scientist and a man of real and deeply-felt religious faith. Would Hollywood be able to do a character like that today?

For that matter, why was it that even in their second-rate horror films Universal was still more original with their characters and plots than almost everyone since?

  • Eric Hinkle

How about the character of Daniel from House of Frankenstein? Much more villainous than the nurse here, but still an amazingly sympathetic character.
