I picked this up recently as a little birthday present for myself. I thought the Criterion Godzilla Collection was nice. This totally eclipses it!

You get:

All the Showa Gamera films beautifully cleaned up and enhanced for Blu-Ray. Each has a nice commentary and a bunch of extras.
All the Millennium Gamera films. I'm guessing there are extras but I haven't gotten to them yet.
'Gamera The Brave' which I still haven't seen yet.
A nice set of five or so Gamera comic books all hardbound.
An extra booklet with background of each of the movies.

All in all for about a little over a hundred US. Frankly it's cheaper than the Criterion Godzilla Collection and you get more stuff!!!

Not a big comic fan but they're really well drawn. Haven't started reading them so I can't attest to the quality of the writing.

And the extras/background booklet. Nice job and it covers all the movies plus interviews with the guys behind the films:

They only made 5000 of these for the US (3000 for the UK, though?). So these basically sold out immediately. The last ones available were ones ordered by physical stores, but I can't imagine those lasted very long either. Luckily I had preordered a set from Amazon.

Wow, I don't normally find out about these things until they're over. I was very lucky to pre-order this! Glad to got a copy too Ken.

I assume Arrow will make the cleaned-up Blu-Rays of the Showa films available in a non-special edition. After watching them for years in scratchy poor quality prints they're a big change of pace.
