    My brother and I had a bunch of those Faerie Tale Theatre tapes way back when. Really good stuff- the one I remember the most was Eric Idle’s chilling take on the Pied Piper of Hamelin, that was probably my favorite of the whole bunch. Some of those episodes could get a bit dark, which I suppose was the whole point, but still, very entertaining.

  • my favorites were the Velveteen Rabbit and Aladdin’s Lamp. My kids must have watched those suckers dozens of times.

    Faerie Tale Theatre never did The Velveteen Rabbit. I recall a cartoon version of it, which I think Meryl Streep narrated.
