NOTICE FOR ALL HOUSTON AREA JABOOTUITES…

Long time FoJ Chad Richard has sent out the call:

“Hi Ken,

As you know, at the end of every T-Fest we Houston-based Festers make some vague plans to meet up for a movie or something.  Well, the time may have come to make that happen.  On May 21st and 22nd the River Oaks Theater will be presenting the Houston premiere of Birdemic: Shock and Horror.  This is the same theater where I saw Black Dynamite, so you know they’re good folks.  I mentioned this to Kirk Draut, but his brother’s wedding is that weekend so he might not be able to participate.  That leaves it to me to organize things.  Could you hook me up with contact information for the Houston crowd? ”

Anyone wishing to join Chad for this historic event can reach him at eddwoodjr@yahoo.com.

Birdemic will also be showing in Chicago for midnight showings at the Music Box Theatre in June.

The complete screening schedule can be found here.

Foywonder’s got a review of this movie. It sounds like it lives up to the jaw-dropping quality of that trailer. He really crows about it.

  • “He really crows about it.”

    BOOOOOO!!!

  • The Rev. D.D.

    Mu-whahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa!!

And it’s at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge on June 4th.

    I’ve got tickets.

Eh, that’s just one man’s ‘pinion.

  • The Rev. D.D.

    Really? I had no idea.

Still, considering some of the dreck he’s seen, for him to talk about just how bad this movie is, I’m willing to bet it’s pretty damn bad. The trailer also seems to bear this out; it left my jaw on the floor.

We can’t know until we see it for ourselves, naturally, but I’ll take that bet.

  • The Rev. D.D.

Oh wait. I see what you did there.

No offense taken. It is the F-117 of puns, and one I consider quite fletching.
