IMPORTANT: Venue Change for Houston Dinner…

Hey, folks. For a while now we’ve been having dinner in Houston the Thursday night before either T or T(ween) Fest, when I’m visiting Kirk & Patty Draut there before we all jump into the Drautmobile to head into Dallas on Friday night. So we will again a week from this Thursday, August 18th.

The last few years we’ve held the dinner at the Hickory Hollow on Heights Blvd. However, that was at least partly because it was close to Lawyer Chris’ house. LC has recently moved to Lubbock to teach, so there’s no reason for us to venture out so far from Stately Draut Manor.

However, Hickory Hollow has served us well, so we’ll be repairing instead to the HH in Fallbrook:

This is largely to cater to my predilection for drinking soda out of a large Mason jar. Further details on the venue may be found here.

    Since I won’t be there, I have nothing to say about it.

    However, as far as T-Fest itself: will we be going to dinner at Twisted Root, since I know a few people had wanted to go there last time?

    I may be able to get the girls out again if we’re going to TR. If so, they’ll be sure to have a light and early lunch, in case we end up having dinner at 4 p.m. again, so they can actually meet and talk to more than one person. Whether they’ll stay for a movie, I don’t know.
