SALE OVER!!

For today until supplies end you can get the complete series of Newsradio, Sanford and Son, Soap and What’s Happening for only $26.  All of the shows have their fans, but I especially love Newsradio, although it never recovered from the murder of Phil Hartman.  And Sanford and Son, well, that doesn’t need any selling, does it?  All of these shows were on the air for a while, so it’s a pretty damn good deal for each of them at that price.  And since the price is (just) over $25, you can opt for free shipping on the sets.

NOTE: Although the sets are almost insanely cheap, the packaging seems really bad; the discs come stacked on a spindle in a cheap cardboard case. You’d possibly want to transfer them over to other packaging. Just something to keep in mind.

I don’t think any of us ever really recovered from the murder of Phil Hartman. Is it coincidence that The Simpsons started to suck almost immediately after we lost Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz? I submit to you that it is not.

Ken, have you stopped using the Amazon system, or am I missing the link somehow?

  • Don’t forget Tween Fest on March 13th in the Dallas area. We are watching 8 amazing films. This time the line-up is:

    Common-Law Wife
    The Eye Creatures
    High Yellow
    In the Year 2889
    (dinner break)
    A Bullet for Pretty Boy
    Mistress of the Apes
    Zontar, the Thing From Venus
    Beyond the Doors

    All are welcome

  • Ken, have you stopped using the Amazon system, or am I missing the link somehow?

Well, there should be links on the blog, including on this post. If you click on any of them and then buy something, I get a small hunk of it. If you mean the old Amazon tip jar system, they discontinued it a long time ago, and I don’t like tip jars anyway, since I’m uncomfortable asking for money out of a person’s pocket.

  • Sandy, I assume Wendy is already out of town? Because this is exactly the sort of mischief I’d expect you to get up to when she’s not there.

    The real line up?

    Wild Guitar
Increadibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies
Lemon Grove Kids Meet the Monsters
    Rat Pfink a Boo Boo
    -Afternoon Tea Break-
    Blood Shack
    Sexorcist Devil
The Hollywood Strangler Meets the Skid Row Slasher
    War Cat

I still miss Phil Hartman. He was so good in just about everything he did, and he did plenty.

  • Ericb

He was a great Bill Clinton.

Argh, sorry Ken, it was my own stupid fault…I’ve been using Netscape lately which blocks the ads. (IE has been giving me fits lately).

If I fire up IE, there they are! Now to get Lautreamont for Kindle….

  • I still think we should try to get Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla .

I hear the actual TweenFest line up is actually this:

    The Room
    The Room 2: Even Roomier
The Room 3: The Wrath of Denny
The Room 4: The Search for Johnny
    The Room 5: Room Messiah
    Bathroom break
The Room 6: Apartments of Gor
    The Room 7: The Crackdown
The Room 8: Johnny Returns Forever
The Room 9 (series reboot with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto)

  • actually I think Ken plans just to show The Room eight times in a row.

  • I wouldn’t mind seeing the one with Zachary Quinto ;)

  • Sandy’s, he’s cracked the code!
