B-Fest / T Fest / T(Ween) Fest

First, I have (yes, already) two spare tickets for B-Fest.  If anyone wants to go and needs a ticket, let me know.

Second…no real news on T Fest, our regular annual summer fest down in Dallas.  But this wil be number, what, six now?  Damn.

HOWEVER…there will be a T(ween) Fest–I’m the only one who seems to like that name, but screw y’all–largely motiviated by the fact that I can get down to Texas this March, at the same time Sandy is on his school break (as a teacher).  So we’ll have an extra Fest this year, also at the SMU Guildhall (where the previous Fest was held).  It will be on Saturday, March 13th.  Chris Holland and Freeman Williams, sadly, can’t attend, so Sandy and I will program it ourself.  It’s open to anyone who wants to attend.

If anyone wants to meet up in Houston the Thursday before (the 11th) for dinner, like we did last year, I’m sure that could be arranged.

Anyone wanting more info on the above can write a message below or e-mail me at ken@jabootu.com.

    Woo-hoo!

Tween-Fest, D(allas)-Fest, March-Fest — call it what you want, I am SO there… Best news of this month for me! :-)

Like everything else in my life, it depends on “needs of the Army.” :-)

    But what about MY needs!?!

The latter line reading should be accompanied by a dramatic hand across the forehead and as much swooning as required for effect.

  • The Rev. D.D.

That helps ease the sting of being unable to go to B-Fest.

Albeit not as much as the tequila.

  • Any suggestions for the Houston dinner location? Star Pizza was pretty good last year, I’m thinking maybe Christian’s Tailgate or HIckory Hollow this year.

Depends on the price. Goode Company Seafood? You know, that diner on Westpark in the train car? Kind of a local landmark. I’ll leave any BBQ decisions to you. I’m partial to the Grove, but that’s the downtown lawyer in me speaking.

Biba’s diner on Memorial? Freebirds? Pappas?
