    Actually, I can kind of see Kirk there. Spock, on the other hand, looks lost. He doesn’t look collected and logical, he looks deer-in-the-headlights.

    Maybe I have been out of the loop too long but, didn’t Spock serve under Captain Pike first 13 years before Kirk got the Enterprise? Also Spock is no doubt older than Kirk and not an academy class mate.

    I suppose that got this either answered cleverly or cleverly ignored.

    RE: picture, “Kirk” should have his face in a slight shadow with his eyes lit brighter. Spock should have 5 o’clock shadow under his eyebrow.

    Note that Spock is in a Star Fleet Uniform, but that Kirk is not.

    re: uniform. Good point KeithB and you made me take a closer look.

    I assumed it was that black t-shirt they wear under their uniform. If you look closely you can see that Kirk/Pine is wearing his uniform turned inside out, you can make out the insignia outline. Photographer must have wanted the contrast.

    I just looked at the credits on IMDB and I see Capt Pike is in the cast. Like I said, I haven’t been following this closely.

    correction: if inside out, insignia would be on other side. It is a uniform black T-shirt with embossed/stitched insignia.

    I sure hope it’s Photo Shop. Hate to think he will look that plastic. Gotta admit, the teaser trailer on the Iron Man disc was pretty good.
