Dreamwork production start dates…

DREAMWORKS

1000 WORDS March  Possible Eddie Murphy vehicle about a talkative guy who learns he only has 1000 words left before he dies.

EAGLE EYE November  Shia LaBeouf in an involved political thriller involving terrorism in which, I’m just guessing here, Americans turn out to be the bad guys.

GHOST TOWN Nov  Kind of a comic melding of The Ghost Whisperer and The Sixth Sense, starring Ricky Gervais.  It’d be nice if this was actually good.

HOTEL FOR DOGS 29-Oct Two orphaned kids hide a bunch of stray dogs in an abandoned hotel.

LOVELY BONES November  Peter Jackson adapts Kim Sebold’s popular novel about a woman who from the afterlife observes the effects her murder has on her family.THE SOLOIST Jan  Oscar bait (again) for Jaime Foxx as a violin prodigy who develops schizophrenia and begins living on the street.  Based on a true story (and we all know how much that means).

WEDNESDAY 28-Jan   A desperate man carjacks a young woman, and a high-speed chase ensues.  It’s supposed to be a “character-driven” film.  Didn’t Charlie Sheen already make this picture?

So, does this mean he’ll be silent for most of the film? I may go see what… ^_^

Does that count the multiple characters he plays?

They should make the movie more like Citizen Kane with the film opening with his dying words, “I never should have made…” The rest of the movie should be someone trying to figure out which of Murphy’s movies he was so ashamed of he attempted to atone for on his death bed.

FICTITIOUS SPOLIER ALERT

But wouldn’t everyone know the two words missing are “Pluto Nash”, ruining the surprise?

END FICTITIOUS SPOILER ALETR

The sad thing is that that is actually a very original idea and could make a very interesting and intelligent movie.

Somehow I have a feeling we won’t be using words like that to describe what makes it through the Hollywood grinder and on to screens however.

How about if you could only type 1000 more words, poor Ken would be gone before the introduction to a review :)

Actually, I was told I’d only write 100 more reviews, which is why I’ve been spacing them out so much!

Do Nugget reviews count, or just the longer main ones…? ^_^
