Monster of the Day #773

Recap of Readers MoD Week continues with Ericb’s contribution:

Well, nobody said they had to be good monsters, this is the realm of Jabootu after all. Anyway, I had to wear a neck brace after watching this one. Oh, and yes, these are supposed to represent the same monster.

    Eye, Eye Captain.

I can’t make out the content of either picture. The one on the top is just a grey blur.

  • Ericb

The movie was pretty scrupulous in keeping this critter out of context.

  • Rock Baker

The top shot shows one of the creature’s tentacles attacking a victim. The lower shot shows the body of the creature. As noted, they look like two different creatures spliced together, as the film itself feels like two different movies spliced together.

  • And, assuming I’m remembering the right movie, neither one was very good to start with.

  • Ericb

    M. Night Shyamalan should to the remake.

  • David Fullam

Let’s sing it-“Crystal from the stars!”

  • sandra

Whatever the movie is, it may very well have been two different movies spliced together. It’s been known to happen. For some reason, the top picture is clearer today. I can make out part of the part on the victim’s sleeve: Kimblerl … Officer. Is that Kimberly, as in South Africa ? Is the second picture the monster’s body, or its vagina ?

  • sandra

Oops – that should be ‘patch on the victim’s sleeve’.

  • Ericb

The effect in this movie is like mixing Lassie with Cujo.
