Wow! It’s been a while since we really had anyone hit the tip jar (which is fine, obviously), but after I cravenly recently importuned $10 tips in order to exploit honor the site’s 10 year anniversary (as of June 8th), I got a notice of one ten dollar tip. Which, after all, is ten bucks, so believe me, I’m not complaining.
Well, it turns out that Amazon doesn’t necessarily send you notice of tips. Since a couple of others folks indicated on the message board that they had sent me some money–BWAHAHAHAHAA!–I went to the Amazon site and found that eight exceedingly fine individuals had, in fact, sent funds, and that some went well beyond the $10 I request. Somebody sent $30, and two others $50. There’s no indication of who you donators are, so allow me to thank each and every one of you here. You know who you are.
In the next day or two I’ll be posting a large list of upcoming DVDs that have been announced (mostly) for Halloween, and due to your collective largess I will be buying, and reviewing, more of them than I had planned. I’ve already sent in for the Women in Peril Camp Classics set, which I had intended to merely put into my rental list at Netflix. And that Liz Taylor / Richard Burton DVD set is also now a possible buy. Or maybe I’ll go ahead and order some of that stuff off my Amazon wish list.
Remember, you have no one to blame but yourselves.
And thanks! The money is great, the thought it represents even moreso.
