T-Fest!

Wow, TWO WEEKS from Friday. Crazy.

Sandy and I are still formalizing the line-up, although it’s 80% locked in. It’s a pretty good mix of stuff, I think. It’s our normal seven movies and a shorts / quiz slot, with a nice long dinner break. It also marks our first reshowing of a movie, although I don’t think we’ll let that sort of thing get out of hand. Although heaven knows I love The Land Unknown and would reshow it every year.

We’re thinking of additional slates at Sandy’s house on Friday night and Sunday, if anyone is interested. For instance, I think we will definitely be showing Lonely Lady at Sandy’s on Friday night. If anyone has interest in that, post a comment so we can see if anyone cares. Anyone who wishes to stop by is usually more than welcome.

IF anyone wishes to join Kirk and Patty and I (and perhaps Black Chad) in Houston on Thursday night, Oct 18th, we’ll be having dinner at the Rockwell Tavern in Cypress outside of Houston. The burgers and fries there look amazing.

Any questions at all, post a message or drop me a line at ken@jabootu.com. If anyone needs lodging, there’s a good chance Sandy would be able to put you up.

I’m in for the whole program, as is the lovely Sarah. I’m especially looking forward to The Lonely Lady, since if I write for anyone, I write for MEEEEE!

Since Freeman can’t make it this time I suggest that in his honor we watch at least one movie that’s actually good.

  • Ken_Begg

One of my movies at least is objectively good, so we’re covered.

  • Chad R.

Definitely. I was including dinner in “the whole program.”

  • Ken_Begg

Aw–some. See you in Houston, then.

  • kgb_san_diego

Awesome. I am in the mood — the mood to snark…

  • Ken_Begg

Again, feel free to drop by Sandy’s house in Rockwell (Dallas suburb) on Friday night as well.

  • Chad R.

You might want to bring your own chair though. We’re really filling up Sandy’s living room.

  • Ken_Begg

Yeah, actually, bringing a camp chair wouldn’t be the worst idea.
