    OT, but for some reason I cannot see about half of Ken’s comments.  I click on the comment listed (in the box to the right), it takes me to the blog entry, but the comment I was looking for just isn’t there.

    I thought it was just me, or this computer I’m on. It started yesterday; I refreshed the page, cleared the cookies and everything but didn’t seem to help. The number of comments changes too, depending on the post- on the home page it’ll say something like ’22 Comments’ but then I click on the post and it’s only at 20 Comments.

    I hope you will resume your lunch dates with Lorre at some point. Essential for your ‘to view’ list: All Through The Night, Three Strangers, The Verdict, Black Angel, My Favorite Brunette, and though it’ll mean resorting to the fine line of is-it-a-bootleg-if-no-one-is-selling-a-proper-copy-to-the-public, get a hold of The Face Behind The Mask, I Was An Adventuress, Double Confession, and Der Verlorene (The Lost One), Lorre’s only directing effort. Extra credit: The Boogie Man Will Get You, Island of Doomed Men Criterion’s gorgeously remastered The Man Who Knew Too Much, Secret Agent, and Silk Stockings, and there are more public domain titles out there which give him a passable amount of screen time.
