Amazon Deal of the Day: The World at War

I already own this, which remains the finest documentary series on World War II.  26 hours, and narrated by Laurence Olivier.  If you don’t want to buy it, and have any interest in history at all, I urge you to borrow a copy from your library or Netflix.

For today, though, you can buy the set for $37.50, 62% off the $100 MSRP. Well worth the money. This program is respected enough that the sale has currently places it as number 6 on Amazon’s DVD sales, which is pretty amazing.

Amazon also has several anime series–so far unannounced–going up on spot sales later today. These will probably go fast, so if that’s your bag, you may want to drop in on them fairly regularly today.

This and The Outer Limits were the first DVDs (and first home videos period as I never owned a VCR)I bought when I got my player. Truly great series.

  • So, Eric, I assume you’re programming the Deals of the Day at Amazon this week?

  • Good post here. One thing I would really like to say is that most professional domains consider the Bachelor Degree like thejust like the entry level requirement for an online college diploma. Although Associate Degrees are a great way to begin, completing your Bachelors starts up many doors to various professions, there are numerous internet Bachelor Diploma Programs available by institutions like The University of Phoenix, Intercontinental University Online and Kaplan. Another concern is that many brick and mortar institutions offer Online editions of their certifications but generally for a greatly higher cost than the institutions that specialize in online course plans.
