Thinking of moving Watch Parties to Discord….

Chad R has nominated Discord as a superior host for Watch Parties. (Which wouldn’t be hard, as Kast is kinda krap.) It looks a bit complicated to Luddites like me, but Chad and my friend Jeff are coming in for Basement Fest, and if we find a spare minute, I’ll ask them to run me through it.

For this initial stage, I would appreciate if anyone does not want to / cannot use / download Discord onto their computers. I’d rather use a crappy service than freeze anyone out.

    I have not used Discord for watch parties, but I like it for other things, and it just cannot be as bad as Kast was for me.

  • I've never used Discord for watch parties, but am willing to try. Already have two accounts with the app.

    I have no idea why I have two accounts. I. just. Do.

  • I never use it, but have an account. Hunter definitely uses it to watch movies with his buddies though, so he can hold my hand.

    We don't want discord. Oh, wait I mean I am OK with it, but we want everyone on the same page. phew.

    Never used it but it's worth a shot. Kast was giving me fits. If I can't figure out how to set it up I can always get my nephews to help me… ;)
