Let’s see what we collectively picked up from Amazon in July.
Most expensive item (sweet!): SVAT CV31 Hi-Res Outdoor CCD Security Camera w/Long Range Night Vision. But it *was* over half off (about $75), and then the free shipping, so cool. Also a security light, that I assume was part of the same order. Thanks, whoever.
Most purchased item: 2 copies of the Warriors on Blu-Ray.
Item that surprised me:
The Hello Kitty Mouse. Still, Chad, thanks!
Books: 2 volumes of Chester Gould’s Dick Tracy reprints. Another copy of the simply fabulous I Shall Destroy All Civilized Planets, which remains the greatest book ever. (That’s a cheat, actually, as it’s the one I bought for Sandy Petersen as a T-Fest thank you. He seemed properly enthused, however.) Hellboy and Popeye collections. Harry Turtledove’s Stars & Stripes alternative history trilogy. The Oxford History of the First World War, and The Thirty Year’s War.
Video Game: Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. I don’t buy games, does any here buy many?
Music: Albums by INXS, The Fall (2 albums), Rush, Death Cabs for Cutie, The Offspring, Blue Oyster Cult (yes, an album that *does* have Godzilla on it), Megadeth.
And, of course, the Movies: 30 Days of Night, Alien vs. Predator Requiem, Back to the Future Trilogy, Batman the Animated Series Vol 1/Vol 2, Black Vengeance (blaxploitation set), Buffy the Vampire Slayer Complete Series; Cloverfield, Doctor Who Beneath the Surface (three adventures with undersea menaces); Maneater Series Collection Vol 1/Vol 2 (thanks, Sandy—and sorry!); Nightmare Sisters; Outside the Wire, Samurai Cop (yay!); The Beast; The Mist. Blu-Ray: The Warriors (2 copies), Wall Street; Rocky; American Psycho.
