Monster of the Day #683

So, ’70s wolf man week, because…I don’t know, I found five pictures? Sure, why not.

I don’t recall this as being any great shakes–we wait until the end to see the werewolf, and as you’ll note, he was pretty minimalist–but the cast was typically fantastic (for us old fart character actor fans), and like most films of this type, was at the very least solidly put together.

What ever happened to Eddie, the kid from Mocking Bird Lane?

    Eddie Munster: The Collage Years!

He looks pretty well groomed for a werewolf.

  • MOON OF THE WOLF? Always been one of Pop’s favorites. They should put out a huge boxed set of 70’s TV movies, and I wish they would. One set could be genre flicks like this and THE NORLISS TAPES, one could be disaster movies, and one could be a collective of killer bee/insect flicks. Man, I love those!

I fondly remember those ABC Movies. Some of them were pretty darn good : Night Stalker, Norliss Tapes, Gargoyles …. Mind you, some of them were pretty lousy, as well.

Watching this at this very moment, it turned up on our new local PBS monster movie show and I DVRed it. Yes, our local PBS affiliate has just started a brand new local horror-hosted B-movie show in the late night Saturday slot in 2013 (by Richmond standards, that’s about 1983 anywhere else). Shame the host segments suck (more than generally acceptably, I mean).
