Whee! New And You Call Yourself a Scientist review!

Apparently clinically insane, Liz has been slowly working her way through all the Friday the 13th movies.  She’s now finished Jason Takes Manhatten.  Stay strong, Liz!  The end is in sight!

  • I have a question, Mister Begg. Is this Jabootu.net replacing both your blog and your old site, or should I keep visiting those to check for updates?

  • Nevermind, I went back and read the previous Blog entries.

  • I’m actually a fan of the FRIDAY THE 13TH movies, somewhat anyway, but JASON TAKES MANHATTAN is the worst of the bunch by a long shot. It does have 30 kickass seconds in it, and I’m sure you can guess what they are if you’ve seen the movie.

Marty: I’ve just never been much of a slasher fan. I don’t particularly like gore, and my idea of suspense involves not knowing if someone is going to die, rather than at what exact second and with what outre implement.

I’m not knocking them, but they ain’t my bag.

  • The Rev. D.D.

Yay for new material from Ms. Kingsley!

Her work with the FtT films has been some of her best, I think. (I almost wish she’d do more than one a year, but I guess I can understand the rest she needs between them.) Her pleading for Pseudo Jason to off the redneck OCR in A New Beginning is great, capped by the line, “Oh, Pseudo Jason! You’re my HERO!” when he finally does. Right up there with her description of her reaction to the shark thrusting out its teeth in Jaws 3-D.

I feel for her, though, wading through those films. Especially with the one she just did, and Jason Goes to Hell yet to come. Stay strong, Ms. Kingsley!

  • The Rev. D.D.

I’ll be damned. I hoped against hope that when she said it wouldn’t be too long before she tackled Jason Goes to Hell, she meant less than a year.
    Try less than a week!
My cup doth runneth over, methinks…
Maybe she’s lost her last remaining shreds of sanity and her Jason X review will pop up next week!
Naw, that’s asking too much. I’ll just giggle with glee and devour this new review…
