Oooh, oooh, now do the Herculoids!

Jonny Quest Opening Titles from Roger D. Evans on Vimeo.

Definitely bump this up to fullscreen size.

  • I want a giant robot spider action figure!

  • I KNOW!

  • Flangepart

Man, I loves me that music.
I once found a theme album with the incidental and background scores, and I wish I could find it again!
That guitar riff is up there with Dr. Who and the Bond theme.
    Way cool.

  • Rock Baker

I can’t see it full screen for some reason, but VERY cool! (Some of the ‘moving camera’ shots don’t really fit in, but amazing stuff just the same -I love the shot of the guards floating along in their hover-buckets!)

So where do I get a Race Bannon action figure?

  • Rock — Are you hitting the X shape on the control bar, next to where it says HD? If that doesn’t work, you can right click and watch it at the original source.

  • Rock Baker

Yeah, it just gives me a black screen for some reason. I can’t explain it.

  • Terrahawk

    Awesome.

  • Rock — If nothing else, Google ‘vimeo jonny quest” and the source should come up.

  • Petoht

I see your Johnny Quest and raise you a Toby Danger:

More seriously though, this was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.

  • Man, I waited every Friday night for:
    a. Magilla Goriila (hey, I was a kid)
    b. Jonny Quest (great opening theme)
    c. The Avengers (loved Emma)
    d. Love American Style (I had to sneak that one)

    – NYC (circa various times in the 60s)

  • Gristle McThornbody

Awesome. That was my favorite show as a kid.

  • The Rev.

That was a labor of love, and completely worth it. Thanks for sharing!

They still play JQ on Boomerang. Unlike a lot of cartoons I enjoyed as a kid, it still totally holds up.

  • Man I was going to be all cynical and unimpressed by some fanboy’s tribute to an old cartoon show, but then watching this sucker I actually teared up and got all nostalgic. How the hell did this thing only last one season while Rug Rats dragged on for 13 years? I guess the grip of Satan is strong on Hollywood.

  • The Rev.

    Rugrats was on that long?

    I weep for humanity.

    Oh, Lord yes…
And another reason…a 14 year old at a nearby computer just asked the library assistant ‘Egypt, that’s in the Middle East?”
I was born in 1956, and got all the adult jokes on Rocky and Bullwinkle. Yeah…I’m depressed…

  • Rock Baker

How do you think I feel? I’m only 29 and I often feel like I’m the only guy in my age group who can add two and two, or use a screwdriver. (When I think of those younger than I, I could cry. And I’m no he-man braniac either, so you know the world is in trouble if I think I’M the capable one!)

  • Rock Baker

Now if only he’d tackle the idea my brother and I came up with: CAPTAIN ACTION VS THE DALEKS in COLOR!

  • Terrahawk

Trust me, you guys aren’t imagining the decline in education. There was a recent valedictorian at a Toledo city high school who didn’t pass the state graduation test. Even in a lot of the private schools, subjects such as history and geography don’t seem to be taught in a logical and interesting manner.

They did tell him that Egypt is in North Africa?

  • So…it was NOT that unrealistic for Britney Spears to be her school’s valedictorian in Crossroads?

  • Terrahawk

She might have actually been too smart for the part.
