Monster of the Day #261

Sorry for the no-show yesterday. Things were crazy at work from the moment I got in and I didn’t have time to put anything up. Hopefully absence made the heart grow fonder for today’s MotD. Anyway, I thought a double-header might help make up for it. Plus, now we know the real reason Mr. Drummond adopted Arnold.

Ebony and ivory, working in perfect harmony.

  • P Stroud

And to think that Ray Milland won a best actor Oscar for “The Lost Weekend”.

  • Ericb

I wonder what the criteria are for determining whether a Ray Milland character needs a toupee or not.

    Insert ‘Breath mint’ joke here.
I mean, Ken already took the baseball ref…

  • Charles Goodwin

Their expressions here makes the following conversation a likely possibility…

    Rosey: Seriously, Ray?
Ray: Sorry, Rosey, it’s that damn broccoli the caterers keep serving. What do you expect, I’m 67 for crying out loud!
Rosey: OK, old man, you know two can play that game…!!!

if only Sirhan, Sirhan had seen this hanging out with Bobby Kennedy, Nixon may have been but a memory.

Seriously, I was really impressed with how professional Ray Milland remained through out this production. His acting was as good as any role, not Lost Weekend or Dial M for Murder level, but very good.

Now “Frogs” he seemed tired. Could have been the wheelchair and sad attempt to sound Southern.

Appropos of nothing, here is a great discussion about what happened to GDT’s “In the Mouth of Madness”…

  • roger h

    what happened to the comments?

  • Rock Baker

Um, Ken, The Thing With Two Heads has already been Monster of the Day…. It’s even the same photo….

  • The Rev.

Well, of course, Rock. Once for each of them.

    You’re welcome, Ken.

  • roger h

Rock, I believe Ken is returning to pre-MOTD #67 borders.

  • Rock Baker

Ah! So is today’s monster Rosey or Ray?

  • The Rev.

I’m sure Ken can clarify. After he checks his email. *cough*

  • GalaxyJane

    Slowest, car chase, ever.

  • zombiewhacker

    Which one is Mr. Burns?

  • Rock Baker

I’ve got it, this is a scene from It Came From Hollywood! Very clever, Ken!
