Monster of the Day #230

Boy, you never see this side of them until you get that ring on their finger. Am I right, gentlemen?*

[*An observation from my new book, Everything I Know About Women I Learned from Stand-Up Comics.]
  • Gamera

    I’m guessing it’s not the new Babylon 5 spin-off starring a young Na’Toth?

  • KeithB

Is the only male snake-person The Rock from “The Mummy” sequel? (Of course, by most accounts that was more of a lobster-person.)

  • monoceros4

    Does Thulsa Doom count?

  • roger h

I think this is from that indie film maker, Kurt van Scheild?
Yes, I think that is a van Scheild viper.

  • KeithB

    monoceras4:
Not by my rules since he was just all snake, right? Not a snake-person.

    But YMMV.

  • KeithB

Cmon, Ken, you probably look pretty bad when you get up in the morning, too.

  • KeithB

    Acck!
Forgot to add, that is before you put on your make-up

  • The Rev.

So what’s this one from? I don’t recognize it. Is it from a TV series, like X-Files or Fringe?

    That’s really nice make-up.

  • This reminds me of the story ‘The Curse Of Yig’ by Zealia Bishop (actually ghostwritten by H.P. Lovecraft.) It involved people turning into snakes.

  • The Curse of Yig doesn’t really have anyone turn into a snake, though it does have a deformed snake-like person appear in the epilogue. The Lovecraft pedant in me makes me say this.

But how do I not know this movie? It looks just like the kind of thing that would be sitting in my library even now.

Sandy et al. hint: think “Boxing Helena”

  • roger h

I was just watching the trailer on YouTube and it seems like Miss Lynch has seen “Cannibal Holocaust” a few times.

  • Sandy: Actually, yes, it looks EXACTLY like the sort of thing you’d buy.

  • Rock Baker

Another MOTD I have no clue about? I’ll have to turn in my badge after this week. Just remember me at the next meeting, and say that I bowed out with honor.

  • Marsden

I do love your posts Gamera. I does resemble her, excepting the fangs and no red eyes.

  • Kirk

    Every 28 days, every 28 days…

When I had 3 daughters and the wife living at home, I would spend one week a month hiding in the garage or attic. Much safer that way.

  • sandra

It looks something like the Flukeman from X FILES. If its female, they should mate her with the snakeman from SSSS.

  • BeckoningChasm

Ken, I’d like to read your follow-up book, Everything I Know About Women I Learned from the SciFi Channel. Now that’s a franchise!

  • Gamera

Thanks Marsden, I was struck at first at how much she looks like a Narn but I guess there’s only so many ways you can do a reptile/lizard/snake person.

  • The Rev.

I’m afraid roger’s “Boxing Helena” hint flew over my head. What is this from?

  • I’m guessing this is from Hiss?

  • There’s a reptile-woman in the last season of Dr Who, but she wears clothing.
