Good deals on a couple of great shows.
Today’s ‘deal of the day’ (meaning limited time) is 60% off the DVD and Blu-Ray editions of the complete series Rome: (Rome now longer on sale.)
Even better is a whopping 67% off the fabulous mini-series John Adams, lowering the price to a more than affordable $20. That makes it a pretty reasonable gift, too. The Blu-Ray edition is only five more bucks, too.
I assume this is open to everyone, but Amazon let me sign up for a free month of Amazon Prime, which gets you free 2 day shipping on anything in stock you buy. I’ve already used it twice and it’s pretty great. I had it several years ago, and was buying things as they went on sale the week of Christmas, and getting them there two days later for nada.
You just have to make sure you cancel the subscription before your 30 days are up, or you’ll be tagged $79 for a full year of the service. Which is a great deal if you buy from them regularly enough, but I myself probably don’t.
