[UPDATE AGAIN!] Calling the SyFy network!

Ant mega-colony takes over world.

[UPDATE]  Eric Belzer sends this important update

Creatures from the Sewer

And just in time for the SyFy Network to rip off a major upcoming movie

MegaPirahna!

[2ND UPDATE] I posted a similar thread over at the B-Masters Cabal page, and several diligent readers have appended even more promising fodder. I’m really kind of joking on the square, here. With all these stories that could effortlessly be turned into a creature feature, why do SyFy’s movies continue to be so utterly generic and bland?

I bet they were bred by Dr. Memgele .. damn Nazi ants.

Man, that name “SyFy” reminds me of the nickname for syphillis. I’m hoping that’s not what they intended.

  • Well, they wanted something less “geeky” than Sci-Fi…

Following the MegaPiranha Page I found this:

I’m starting to think Lovecraft was onto something… O_O

What a delightful host! And all yearnings to deck Ken disappeared as promised with the fabulous DVD handover, not to mention the typically hilarious reviews he wrote.

Thanks much Ken for venturing out on a work night whilst waving your trusty mapquest printouts.

Personal favorites? The extremely odd flower art that turned out to be the worst representation of trippy pizzas I’ve ever seen. The couple near by that when they saw me snapping photos of the food, said, “out of towners?”, and then when I explained, why yes, I was from California, proceeded to share that the father of the guy actually knew the original Gino. nice couple. The way Ken let me natter on a million miles a minute about my crazy trip without forcibly stuffing pizza down my craw, God, just make it stop!

Really nice host! I highly recommend lurking in Chicago and contacting Ken for an evening out. Line starts at O’Hare.

    Thanks again!

  • After what they did to “Battlestar Galactica” (making it a parable about the miracles of God after four years saying it was “hard science fiction”), I am not happy by anything coming from Sci Fi Channel.

And what was wrong with the old name? “SyFy” looks like… I don’t know, a boutique of children’s clothing?
