Sad, sad news: Actor David Carridine “found dead”

UPDATE:  Sadder news yet–indications are that he committed suicide.  A very sad story.

R.I.P.   I’ll never had the love for that man that I had for his father (that’s more because of John than David, however), but he’ll definitely be missed.

Off the top of my head, Deathsport is the only film of Mr. Carradine’s I’ve reviewed at this site. Sorry about the missing photos. They can probably still be seen over at the old site.

Agreed on both counts. I hope he’s in a better place now.

    Take it and run,

    Ah, damn.

Caine. I’m sad, but Keye Luke has been gone a long time now, and Brandon Lee. I don’t think there are too many people left from that show. :(

Brandon Lee played his son in the movie made in the 80s before the Carridine then played his own grandson in the 90s contiuation series.

  • It must have been weird for Brandon Lee to work with (under, really) Carradine considering the studios took Bruce Lee’s two most cherished projects away from him and handed them to Carradine because they wanted a white actor starring in them.

One of them being, in fact, the role of Caine, which provided Carradine with his most famous and longest lasting part.

It’s starting to look less and less like suicide. The spokesman for his family is calling it an “accidental death”. Reports are coming out that the chord was tied around his neck and genitals. He was found naked. He was in Thailand. You do the math.

Well, at, what, 72 that’s a better way than many to go. Shame though.

I’m dividing by zero here. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!

No, forget I asked. No, I’m not even going to Google that. LALALALA! Not listening.

  • The Rev. D.D.

    Rest well, David. Rest well.

A sad loss, and I’m glad it seems he did not commit suicide (even if such an accidental death is a bit on the seamy side). I would love to see a review of Circle of Iron appear here – truly a Jabootu-worthy flick.
