Will Ferrell is on Man vs. Wild tonight….

Certainly a comparatively strange bit of cross-promotion for Land of the Lost, but you have to admire Ferrell for going on a show that entails a hell a lot more than sitting on a couch answering pre-screened questions. It’s on tonight on the Discovery Channel at 9:00 (CST).

  • I’ve heard off-hand that Land of the Lost is actually a surprisingly good movie. So kudos for Will Ferrell for the movie, kudos to the bit on the Tonight Show during Conan O’Brien’s debut, and kudos on doing the Man vs. Wild thing. I think it’s just enough to forgive him his creative output for the last two years.

They’re having a Land of the lost marathon on Chiller this Saturday.

Sci-Fi did one on Memorial Day. Man, that show didn’t hold up very well for me, much as I wanted it to. Made me a little sad, it did.

The Sleestaks were still pretty awesome though.

  • They had a Land of the Lost marathon on Sci Fi (or is it Sy Fy?) two weekends ago. Oddly enough, my four year old, who is fascinated by just about anything with big monsters, just could not stand it. Even more oddly, the nostalgia factor couldn’t keep me interested either. I ended up watching Godzilla films with him instead. (The Jun Fukuda ones are nice when you have a really small kid, as you don’t have to do that”hey look a squirrel” thing when anything too gory pops up, at least not too often [but you do have to have a high tolerance for stock footage]. Though even a four year old can’t figure out that corn obsessed fellow in Gigan.)
