Not Monster of the Day #7

Man, that mask makes him *completely* unidentifiable. indeed, I’m not sure that’s even a human.

  • There's a lot of questions here.

Crimson Mask, if that is his real name, might have one Nazi Blue Ghost Boy covered, but I'm doubtful of the one holding onto the blonde (OHOTB). I'm not sure CM's looking at anyone in particular. Looks pretty bored in fact.

OHOTB really seems to be getting into it in comparison to his partner, who is half heartedly raising his hands. I don't know what OHOTB plans on doing with that knife; the blade doesn't seem to be pointed at the girl.

Speaking of the girl, she doesn't seem to be paying much attention to what's going on around her. In fact, she seems more focused on something else off stage. Wonder what that could be?

The propped up leg gives it that nice "Giant Gila Monster" touch.

Yeah, Crimson Mask looks remarkably blasé about the whole thing.

'Wonderful Yvette, this is what, the third, fourth time you've been captured by Nazi agents this week? And it's only Tuesday…'

And I'm wondering it the bad guys are even Nazi agents. What if they were Japanese Imperials and just slapped a swastika on their masks to create confusion…

She had a pie in the oven and she was about to remove it right before they grabbed her.

Maybe they could be Italian fascists? Everyone keeps forgetting them. "Italy was-a fascist when that guy with the mustache was-a ranting in bars!"

Ah, the Crimson Mask! One of a surprisingly large number of pharmacists who put on a mask and fought the forces o' evil back in the pulp days. Seriously, there really were a lot of pharmacists turned masked crimefighter in the pulps. I wonder what the attraction of the idea was?
