Monster of the Day #3501

Man, they looked so cute in Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.

Once again, the Red Shirts are sent in to deal with the peril.

  • It's nice to se Scotty found work after his tour on the
    Enterprise.

Continuing to work through my blue-rays, etc, I watched "Controlled Experiment," the only comedic episode of the original "Outer Limits." It's a fine episode, showing a rare funny side of writer-director Leslie Stevens, who is usually serious to the point of a heart attack or two.
This must have been a fun episode to film, as the two Martians (one of whom is played by Archie Bunker) manipulate time, while the humans (one of whom is Yeoman Rand) have to act in slow motion. While the staid Martian learns about the pleasures of cigarettes.
One of the good ones, definitely.

Kino Lorber has another sale going on. You could pick up "The Oscar" on blue ray for $9!

Tonight's blue-ray feature has the following quote: "You mustn't make fun of the gentleman, Clifford. You'd like to have a nose like that full of nickels, wouldn't you?" Image and sound are terrific, as one would expect from Kino-Lorber.
