Monster of the Day #3462

Clever. That guy lured that robot in so that could fire his mouth beams directly into the robot’s eyes.

Hey buddy! You got something in your eye. Right there,,,

  • Why did I read that title as "Excrement" first?

At first glance it looked like the robot was giving him a shave with lasers.

What do you mean my hands are small and arms short? They work well enough for this!

Tonight's blue-ray feature was…well, let's say someone came to visit and you wanted to show that person the wonders of blue-ray. Well, "Monster a Go-Go" would not be a good demo. I think the folks at Arrow Video did their best, and some of the scenes look great (particularly the later scenes), but those early scenes look like 8mm. But you can see when Henry Hite is wandering through the sewers that they didn't bother to put the goopy makeup on him. An interesting interview with Bill Rebane. Didja know! Ronald Reagan was almost cast in the film. But the investors thought he was a has-been.

As for the actual film, I can do no better than quote from that early George Romero film, "Night of the Bill Rebane Films." "Sheriff, are they slow-moving?" "Yeah, they're by Bill Rebane, they're all messed up."

PS: Trying to watch "Invasion from Inner Earth" and if you ever have to watch this, first of all I'm sorry, secondly, let me help you with the opening credits song. It's some kind of weird synth version of "The Good the Bad and the Ugly."
