"Ordeal of the chattering death" Ever had to drive a van full of teenagers? Death would be a welcome relief.

  • Eric Hinkle

"Bored Wives Ruining Boston"? Let me guess, that's another 'this town is overrun with horny women' article? They had a lot of those in these magazines from what I've seen.

And attack by killer baboons, brrr. That one is genuinely scary. Wasn't thereat least one movie about killer baboons running amok in South Africa?

i am embarrassed to say I didn't watch anything bad this weekend. I said I was going to watch my 'Star Crash' Blu-Ray but never got around to it. I borrowed a friend's Studio Ghibli collection and watched 'The Wind Rises' for the first time and really liked it. Then got a bad headache Sunday and watched several episodes of 'Kochak: The Night Stalker' and 'Ultra Seven' which I guess are my new comfort food now.

So I pulled out the Todd Slaughter Collection last night and watched 'The Murder In The Red Barn'. Which was great! I'd seen a few of Slaughter's films in extremely poor quality, the cleaned-up copy looks great!

BTW: Amazon Prime has 'The Sound of Freedom'. Here Jim Caviezel as a US agent travels to Columbia to help the locals set up a sting operation to take down a child sex trafficking operation. I put off watching the movie for months due to icky subject of the film but the ick is played down and the bringing two abused Honduran children back to their dad is played up. It's a great film and one that makes you feel good at the end, big change from the usual Hollywood fare…

I was looking to see if "the Murder in the Red Barn" was on any of the service like Freevee. I did find a youtube podcast type documentary on the real story. Quite interesting. After they executed him, they dissected him and parts are on display today. talk about ick.
