Holy Moley! Godzilla at Chicago’s Music Box Theatre

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the release of Gojira, and Chicago (and numerous out cities, presumably) is paying due homage to The King of the Monsters. The city’s premiere art house venue, The Music Box Theatre, is running this bill in June (next month! Yikes!).

This summer, we’re celebrating the 70th Birthday of one of cinema’s biggest icons, with GODZILLA VS MUSIC BOX!

From June 7th-13th, the Music Box & the Japanese Arts Foundation are celebrating 70 years of everyone’s favorite kaiju with film screenings, special guests, unique preshows, and much more.

    I was surprised that there’s 8 years between the second and third Godzilla films, but then I remembered Toho introduced a bunch of monsters between those two.
