Monster of the Day #3491

Not sure I’ll be checking in again before the trip, I’m definitely in getting ready mode. I’ll see many of you in a few days. For the rest, have a great week and a better weekend. Watch something stupid.

Get your lazy bones up and feed the cats already.

  • Eric Hinkle

I can remember when DTV used to run this short seemingly every day. Not that I minded as it’s a fun piece of animation.

    RIP Count Floyd.

    Earl!

  • Warmed up by finally sitting down to watch “The Uninvited” (the murder cat one, not the ghost story one). Man, that’s the stuff right there. Truly blessed by Jabootu. Although even with all the insanity, it was a longish 75 minutes.

If Ken were here today. “murder cat” would inspire the comment “so, a regular cat”.

  • Yeah, yeah. Mine are spoiled purring fuzzballs whose worst offenses are wanting to cuddle when I need to do stuff and watching TV by standing in front of it in my line of sight. And considering some of the stuff I watch Moxie may be trying to protect me.

Mine this morning was pretty sure you can stay in bed all day despite my belief I had to work.

  • I feel this.

  • Beckoning Chasm

“Stay in bed? Sleep? Not when there are TREATS to be dispensed. Not on my watch, son.”

  • Beckoning Chasm

I’m watching the newly released 4K “Aliens.” I prefer the theatrical cut, but both are included. Not a stupid movie by any means, but not as smart as people seem to think.

So assume Ken got to see the full eclipse in Texas.

  • The Rev.

Happily, we did. It was fairly cloudy that day, but like a happy ending in a movie, the clouds opened up about 30 seconds before totality and stayed clear for the entirety. It got dark enough the streets lights came on, and we could see Venus and Jupiter (no stars, though). It was amazing.

    awesome 🌞

I spent part of the morning trying to confirm that there really was a cartoon version of OJ Simpsons on one of the Flintstone show. O.K. Simpstone on the Flintstone Comedy Hour or something like that.
