    I can still access it with my phone but I hate typing on a phone screen.

    BTW: my copies of the complete collection of John the Balladeer tales from Haffner Press came in today. Really nice set of two large tomes.

    Someone here recommended them to me but I can’t remember who now…

    I wish I could have afforded them, even though I have all the short stories and maybe half the novels. Still, I hope you enjoy reading them!

    So, I’ve been watching more episodes of “Ultra Q.” I bought the blue-ray steel book some time ago, for $10, and I guess if you could find it for $10 I’d recommend you go ahead and buy it. I honestly don’t think it’s worth more than that, though, although that’s probably me. YMMV. For the most part it’s silly and goofy, with the odd suspenseful episode to make you think this might be serious. Japanese audio only, but the black and white image is INCREDIBLE. I’m amazed it looks so good for something 60 years old. The drawback for this is, of course, the monsters. Unless they’re human-sized with tight costumes, the monsters in blue-ray look pretty obviously cobbled together from scraps and cast-offs. The miniature vehicles look like miniatures, but they’re charming so that’s fine. Garomon, for example, looks just dumb, though, hopping around with his silly fingers and, somehow, destroying Tokyo by bumping into it. Anyway, that’s me for now.

    Valancourt is just doing the short stories. Haffner is doing the shorts, the novels, illustrations, and in hardcover. They’re also charging about $120 for the entire set.
