I like how the praying mantis has used “me” to point himself out to vintage pulp collectors. Even if it did ding the value a bit.

The leg is there, it’s just mostly hidden behind the lady. You can see it just above her head, folded forward. I suspect the monster and guy were painted first, then came the edict to add a naked lady. (Her shiny hair kind of gives it away.) Then came the edict to make her less naked.

Well, a mantis is giant insect that I would be really afraid of. I guess a giant grasshopper would be dangerous but mantises are super scary.
