Monster of the Day #3491

Did I show this one before? I mean, Doc Savage and a “feathered” Octopus? Maybe, but heck, it’s Doc Savage and an octopus.

I have to say, James Bama’s version of Doc is so iconic now that that old pulp version never looks right to me.

Watch Party tomorrow night, chums. Happy Friday Eve.

The thing about the James Bama one, I always wondered if that was his hair, or some kind of skullcap, or…

I recall reading that it was a skullcap in the novels. Doc kept some spare chemicals or the like underneath it for emergencies.

“Damn! I wore the pants without pockets again. Where can I put this stuff? Hm…”

  • Eric Hinkle

I remember Doc as having flash powder on his fingernails, a small curled wire saw located in a hollow tooth, a fake scar on his back that could have various chemicals put in it, and that’s just the tools Doc had attached to his own body. His clothes were a veritable arsenal in their own right.

These steal balls would make excellent weapons. Now where can I hide them?

  • Beckoning Chasm

“Hah, I’ve got you now, Doc! No false moves! Keep your hands where I can see them!”
“Is it okay if I scratch my head? I have head lice.”
“Eww, that’s horrible! Sure, uh, yeah, go ahead.”
    “Thanks–a HA!”
“Your patented gas macro-attack! How did I fall for it again? Argh, I surrender!”
