I usually don’t enjoy the “grim and gritty redo” thing, like the murderous Banana Splits. However, I am liking Eli Roth’s Hungry Hungry Hippos.

By the way, that would suck.

Speaking of, I had picked a nice weird oddity for the Watch Party on Friday. Then I read some reviews and found it has a lot of nudity. I don’t know, after showing Hell Squad and Baba Yaga (about which I can predictably remember nearly nothing, other than a topless dominatrix doll that also turned into a topless dominatrix woman) I fear I’m danger of garnering a reputation I’m not sure I want. That’s OK, Amazon Prime is offering a TON of options these days. It’s actually kind of crazy. They are really beefing up the schlock, so we must not be the only people watching this stuff.

Did anyone else notice that the boat being used in the first picture is made of metal? Were they planning on fighting with hippos, or are they just really cautious?

I think, based on the spoons they are wielding, that their metal boat was actually a big pot, and they were making soup when the hippos showed up wanting their share.
