Post Watch-Party and next one….

Great time last night, thanks to everyone who attended. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. The movie was Forbidden Dance. What we learned. Laura Harring is really pretty. Sid Haig is absolutely terrific in that movie, playing a rare good guy. He’s easily the best thing in it. Richard Lynch, sadly, was given very little to do (and maybe was on-set a short time), and his lackluster performance showed it. Everyone else basically sucked. Meanwhile, the film forgot the whole ‘save the rain forest’ plot even more than we did, which is saying something.

So…another in two weeks? Friday the 21st? Or is that too soon? Should we do it like in three weeks?

    The more I think about it, the more the movie reminds me of something made by born-again Christians. Where the people opposing the main characters are all these cartoonish stereotypes, and, while the hero faces a few challenges here, all challenges are pretty easily overcome.

    This is completely selfish of me but two weeks is my preference because my D&D game is starting up this Friday which means I would no longer have to bow out of movie night early as they’d be alternating. Just once I want to have my cake and eat it! Obviously I’ll attend either way, and obviously majority rules here.
