Did anybody see Mythbusters last night?

Wow, one of the best episodes ever.  (Not even counting the brief glimpse of Kari Byron in a wetsuit.)  Jamie and Adam investigated a hilarious possible myth that if you take on the no doubt numbing task of interleafing two large phonebooks page by page, friction will make it nearly impossible to pull them apart.  Amazingly, this was true.  With no glue or fasteners of any types, the books resisted being pulled apart even when they pulled at them with two smallish sedans.  It was incredible.

Kari, Grant and Tory, meanwhile, examined the end of Deep Blue Sea (!!), broke it down into five elements, and pretty much decided (spoiler alert) it was all bs.  Great stuff, and it included them building a quite awesome shark prop out of foam.  If Tory ever decides to retire, he could probably make a living fashioning those and selling them on eBay.  I’d pay a grand for one.

It was a pretty cool episode. They were getting hit-and-miss during the last run, but so far this new season is really solid. The Fake Moon Landing show was one of the best episodes ever.

  • Yeah, I think the show is reinvigorated for whatever reason, too. Before last night’s, they re-ran a recent episode I hadn’t seen where they attempted to recreate some viral Internet videos. That was a great episode, too.

I think another good question would’ve been “Did anybody see Deep Blue Sea?”
I missed Mythbusters but have no idea what this ending is you’re talking about!! Is the movie about foam sharks attacking people or something?

“I think another good question would’ve been ‘Did anybody see Deep Blue Sea?'”

You do realize what website you’re at, right?…

To the ending, it’s like digging into an old pig sty…just when you think you can’t go any deeper, voila! Another level of crap!

Come to think of it, the whole movie’s like that.

A better question would be, “SHOULD anybody see Deep Blue Sea?”
