Query…

If David Caruso’s character on CSI Miami had an arm incapacitated (probably fighting a crocodile or Big Foot or something), how would he get his sunglasses on and off? And if he couldn’t, would he be able to function, or would he dramatically consider retirement?

It might incapacitate his sunglass removing capabilities, on the other hand it could enable him to stand up straight. It can’t be good for his back to be slouching all the time.

  • Just to imagine a thing like that makes me smile! LOL. Me thinks he would get ab artificial arm – just like the terminator. You can cut off Caruso’s balls – but NEVER his sunglass-arm!

  • Watch out, Vixen! The glasses are off, and he’s staring at you unblinkingly…STARING! Wilt before his mighty power stare!!

  • Of course, the point is that his character doesn’t have *a* sunglass arm, he must use both of them in order to execute his trademark sunglass pincher movement. So if you’re ever fighting him, just go for whichever arm is unprotected. Bereft of the use of both, his sunglasses will be permanently affixed, and he’d basically just wind down.

    That’s my theory anyway.
