Boy, I haven’t thought about The Goon in a while. Wonderful comic. I’m not even sure it they are still doing it. But hey, in a world where readers are fleeing en masse from mainstream American comics, there’s Eric Powell’s awesome independent comic book, full of comedy and monsters and fun, fun violence. I think I own all (?) five of the deluxe hardcover collections, and have never broke open one of them. Man, I got a lot of stuff. Anyway, if you’re never partaken of The Goon, then seriously, hie yourself to your local library and check it out. The book starts out really good and just keeps getting better and better.
