Barring the fact that I don’t have a complete listing for 2006, it remains true that for the four T-Fests so far, I have picked four of the five films featuring significant nudity: Double Agent ’73 (2005), Nude for Satan (2006), and a twofer this last weekend, with Harrad Experiment and Samurai Cop. Sandy, meanwhile, picked Girl and the Geek, aka Passion in the Sun, in 2007. That leaves me as Mr. 80%.
Now, those are only four of the eleven films I have personally picked, but still, that’s nearly half. Also big on my watch: Black and white horror/sci-fi pics. (Giant Claw, Four Skulls of Jonathon Drake, The Land Unknown, From Hell It Came.) Also in my defense, I did pick the only Blaxploitation flick that didn’t feature a ton of nudity (or am I misremembering?), Cleopatra Jones.
I must also admit that one of my prime candidates for next year (yes, I thinking of this already–seriously, we could do this once a month at least) has a bunch of nudity, now that I stop to consider it. I’d like to think that I just like films from the ’70s, and that those often feature nudity, but who knows?
Anyway, weird. If anyone would like me to knock it off, vote now.
