“No, no! “In” the pants! “In” the pants!”

I remember watching Ants on TV when it premiered in 1977, although I only remember it taking place in a lodge and that all the advertising played up the fact that it ‘starred’ a suddenly famous Suzanne Summers, much like the TV premiere of Logan’s Run blared, “Starring FARRAH FAWCETT!”  Despite having no other memories, I would bet the ants were riled up by a building project or something, and that somebody greedy refuses to close something because of Filthy Lucre.   • This one kept turning up regularly on Svengoolie last year. Although what it mostly starred was an aging Myrna Loy. I don’t even remember Sommers and I’ve seen it at least twice in the last twelve months.

    I saw this for the first time last year, and yes, the ants were found during construction of the hotel, but the two guys who find them are immediately killed. Conveniently they don’t attack anyone until the hotel’s all done and open for business.

    I honestly am not sure I’d have recognized Suzanne in the movie had I not seen her name in the opening credits and been on the lookout for her. Admittedly, it wasn’t a great print which probably didn’t help.
