Monster of the Day #3011

Ah, hello old friend. Peckish? Have some of these anchovies. Because fish is good brain food.

Available to watch, unsurprisingly, the Cult Cinema Classics channel on YouTube. If you have Amazon Prime you can double bill it with The Medusa Touch. There’s a reason for that double bill, but please everyone, no spoilers.

Anyway, have a good day, everyone. Be safe.

    “Good dog!”

From seemingly out of nowhere Al Gor has emerged as a possible Dark Brain candidate.

  • Eric Hinkle

It’s so goofy and ridiculous, so why do we enjoy it so much more than many modern Hollywood blockbusters? Was it the lack of pretense? Or is the dog that good an actor?

  • I maintain that “The Brain from Planet Arous” deserves a remake – with an emphasis on the dilemma faced by the protagonists. Would it be worth it to let the Evil Brain take over the planet for a while (remember, he wants to get off the Earth as fast as he can) in exchange for the immense scientific and technological boost we’d get from helping him out?

I am an evil space brain as well.

I just happen to be trapped inside this bony skull…

  • God, I love The Medusa Touch.

That 70 minute runtime certainly doesn’t hurt. But yes, I’d be hitting theaters a lot more often (if there are any left) if they were still showing stuff like this.

Certainly for our elite demographic, one can only hear Burton intone, “I’ve always had a talent for disaster,” and reply, “Brother, you said it!”

  • Rodford Smith

Only to find out it’s a cookbook? :-)
