Monster of the Day #2096

Doughty FoJ Michael C suggested monster-related covers from this fun series. I’m sure my demographic will remember Power Records, which at one point dramatized like radio plays Marvel comics stories, including issues of their various monster series such as the above, on cheapie vinyl records which came with covers like this.

It’s comparatively rare in Illinois right now, but I actually move paper and order supplies and so on at my office, so I’m still going into work. I hope everyone and their loved ones are safe and continue to be so. God bless you all.

That’s a good reason to go for a nice snug coffin instead of lying out on an exposed bier.

Plus getting bat guano all over your nice spiffy threads.

And shouldn’t the vampire hunter be wearing gloves to keep from getting splinters from the stake in her hands?

  • KeithB

Yes, Vampire Hunters need to make sure they have the proper PPE.

I used to own this one as a boy. I had no real idea about Dracula proper (my initial exposure to Dracula was via the Munsters), so I was left wondering why this crazy lady wanted to bump off poor old Grampa Munster. Suffice to say that I got an education when I read it.

Why wouldn’t Dracula be awake? Isn’t it nighttime out?

  • For the curious, Youtube has this record, as well as many of the other Power Records on it. Just got done listening to it and it’s not that bad.

Oops, should have read the comments before posting the next one. Good call, Cullen.

And it seems like he’s about ten feet/ three metres inside the cave. Wouldn’t the sun shine inside there?!?

It’s amazing what they have on there. They even have ‘The Three Stooges and Yogi Bear meet Dr. No-No’. And yes that was/is a real record with those characters.
