    Off note but some of the YouTube channels I follow have with the announcement that the upcoming Star Wars movie will be using footage of Carrie Fisher from the cutting room floor of earlier movies have taken to calling it Star Wars: Plan 9 (makes some sense too since it’s Episode IX in their numbering scheme).

    I wish running this and Plan 9 back-to-back had been their most egregious programming decision, but we’ll get to that next week I imagine.

    Well, I noticed that Asiancrush has a cleaned-up version of ‘Robotrix’ and being a bit intrigued by it from the review back on the old Jabootu site I watched it last weekend. And it’s something else, what else I’m not entirely sure yet.

    I mean it’s a really bad rip-off of ‘Robocop’ and ‘The Terminator’ shot on what was probably the catering budget of the former two films. One or the other, not the catering budget for both. Nothing makes much sense, and characters do insane stuff from the most bizarre of reasons. And it’s full of action, at least the second half. The female leads are friggin’ gorgeous assuming you find Asian women attractive. It’s almost the perfect B-movie.

    On the other hand at the half-hour mark I was wondering if this is a SF/Action movie or a SF/Porn film!?! It could just as well been called ‘Boobotrix’. With a few male and female buffalo shots thrown in. And two or three female full frontal from a distance. And a quick shot of the villain’s.. um… egg roll.

    Thankfully Ken warned me about the graphic rape scenes. There’s only two of them but honest to God I was wondering at times if I was watching a snuff film. Sad to say that I loved the film over-all but the rape scenes made me feel dirty after it was over. I swear I’d buy the movie if the rape scenes weren’t in there. I guess I could fast forward over them, Still if I did buy it I’d feel like a pervert…

    Unrelated, but I just saw it and this is the newest post on the site (wonder if Ken’s having computer issues again). B-movie legend Dick Miller died today at the age of 90.

    RIP Mr. Miller…

    Funny years ago, way before I found this site Miller was in a Deep Space Nine episode and I kept wondering ‘I’ve seen that guy somewhere’. Wasn’t until years later I found out all the cool stuff he’d done, guess I’d seen him in a few B-movies but didn’t recognize him at the time.

    Guess I need to pull out ‘Bucket of Blood’ this weekend and watch it again.
