    The Scary Door…

    I actually just watched this one last weekend, it’s on the new MST on Netflix.

    I saw Black Panther Sunday, I’m not sure about the hype but the movie was good, I give it an A+. If you like Black Panther from the comics, you should be happy. Some people are reading more into it because of reasons, I ignore those people normally anyway, so it didn’t bother me. Well done.

    One of the better new Mst3k episodes. My favorites were Reptilicus, the Wizards of the Lost Kingdom movies, and surprisingly, Avalanche.

    I really wish they would have got rights to show the Reptilicus song that Dirch Passer sings with the kids that is cut out of the US version. They could of had a gay old time with that.

    And the snipped out flying scene…that could have been an ‘El Santo leaps into the room’ laugh out loud moment.

    I still can’t figure out how I have a false memory that they already did Reptilicus (not even Rifftrax). I guess it is such a fun film you can’t imagine otherwise. Well they fixed my memory for me in the reboot.

    Mine were probably Starcrash, At the Earth’s Core and The Land That Time Forgot. I also rather enjoyed the episodes with the two Wizards of the Lost Kingdom movies.

    I saw BP Saturday, and I liked it. More CGI in the fight scenes than I’d have preferred, especially the climactic one, and the story wasn’t particularly unique, but the characters and the production design were really tight.

    This “MST” episode was pretty good, but I was much more fascinated with what a bonkers movie this was.
    My favorite part was Indian Animal Jesus.

    It’s funny. Those 3 were the episodes I was really looking forward to and was kind of disappointed. I guess it’s cause I genuinely like Land That Time Forgot and At The Earths Core and found out I’d rather just watch the movies on their own. Starcrash is so hilarious on it’s own it might be beyond riffing. It also didn’t help for me that they cut out a lot from all 3. They even cut Peter Cushings “You can’t mesmerize me, I’m British!”

    I admit part of it may have been my love of those particular movies. I specifically seem to recall enjoying the riffs on TLTTF, though. But, yes, the cutting of that movie’s best line was inexplicable.
