Monster of the Day #1698

Sorry for the disappearing act. Obviously a lot of it because of B-Fest (which was terrific), but there were also a few days where I just woke up late, etc. Also, it’s harder to just come up with a quick idea after 1700 of these.

This was the last movie at B-Fest. These guys are so hilariously human they barely seem like aliens. There were plenty of other monsters at the Fest, but again, they’d all been covered here before.

I don’t know what it is about this movie, it just doesn’t resonate with me. Everyone else seems to love it, though.

    heathen! ;-)

Very human. they actors really come through the make up. Without looking up was it Christopher Lloyd, Dan Hedaya, and Vincent Schiavelli?

I still wonder about that watermelon.

I loved these guys. I first saw this movie when I was in college (actually I’ve never seen it since) and for days afterward my friends and I would call each other “John – [whatever our particular vice was].”

    ‘WHERE ARE WE GOING?’

    ‘HOME!!!’

    ‘WHEN ARE WE GOING?’

    ‘REAL SOON!!!!!’

  • I don’t think you’ve done anything from “Blake’s 7” yet, but they are rather short on monsters and aliens. There’s quite a few good sci-fi / horror short films out there (see the YouTube channels “Dust” and “CGBros”, for example), but that would be getting really, really obscure.

    “It’s big Boo-tay!”
