Monster of the Day #1668

Not the finest artist in terms of technique, but man, he sure lards in the elements. Also, I’d be intrigued to see Santo take on Japanese Blacula.

“I just LOVE the back of my hand!” MWAH MWAH MWAH

  • Gamera977

I almost feel sorry for the poor vampire, El Santo will crush him like a bug…

  • Flangepart

I love how in El Santo Vs The Vampire Women, Mike and the bots simply laugh when he makes his entrance through the window.

  • Brakola? Sounds like an odd drink to me…

  • bgbear_rnh

Served on the set of “Space Ghost Coast to Coast”.

  • Rock Baker

I wonder if this is the one that was released in both kiddie matinee and “grown-up” versions, in which out hero invents a time viewer which leads to the location of Dracula’s hidden treasure. Although it’s stiff competition, I think that might be my favorite of the Santo movies I’ve seen.

  • CFKane

Japanese Blackula. Wouldn’t that be “Japula”?

  • Eric Hinkle

That vampire’s name always sounded like ‘Baron Broccoli’ to me. Which does sound like a fine villain for a story aimed at VERY young children.

  • Gamera977

Always wanted to see Scott Bakula play a vampire- they could call it ‘The Horror of Count Bakula’…

  • zombiewhacker

Why a baron and not a count?

  • Oh boy.

  • Alupaj……

  • Gamera977

I apologize. That was bad even for me…. :(

  • Gamera977

So no MotD because El Santo punched it into next week???

  • Beckoning Chasm

“Brakola” sounds like a food product aimed at hippie vampires.

  • No, no. Just making a Quantum Leap reference.

  • Gamera977

Oh gosh, now that’s a show I really need to go back and watch…
