Monster of the Day #1660

I saw Thor: Ragnarok last night, and it Rag-na-ROCKS! (Line trademarked) How many movies has Marvel/Disney made now? It’s got to be closing in on 20, right? It’s amazing they’ve kept the quality up as much as they have. They might be eclipsing even Pixar in that regard.

Some might complain that it goes a bit too far in the Guardians of the Galaxy light-hearted space adventure catagory, but not me. It’s a very fun film. If the typically ponderous-looking Justice League can be half as fun as this, I’ll be very surprised. Not upset, just surprised.

Not that I intend to see Justice League. Then I’ll also have to watch Batman v Superman, and…no thanks.

Is that Surtur!? That looks awesome! I’m hoping to go see this Monday.

I’m having a flashback to when you posted a picture of the Destroyer from the first movie,

I don’t know how they keep doing it, but I don’t want them to stop. Black Panther is coming in Feb!

Satan? No. Yeah, I get that a lot.

I’m amazed at the speed they’re able to churn these things out while retaining a level of quality that pretty much ensures a profit. It’s almost like an enormous TV series. Even better, since unlike many TV serials ,they have such a vast narrative that they don’t need to pad the stories out.

  • GreenLuthor

Yep, that’s Surtur. Even more importantly, that’s Surtur voiced by Clancy Brown!

  • Rodford Smith

    Yeah. By Forry Ackerman. :-)

  • The Rev.

……………I haven’t seen any of the Thor movies and now I want to see this one desperately.

  • Eric Hinkle

Hulk versus Surtur as voiced by Clancy Brown. I SO want to see this.
