Monster of the Day #1564

In which a cowboy faces a monster from a silent Expressionistic German film, apparently.

I couldn’t find any stills from the 1959 film. I wonder if it’s lost?

“The Regrets of the Monster.” Not really, but that’s what it initially looked like.

    ‘Return of the Monster’?

How about ‘Return of That Taco Salad I Had For Lunch?’ My intestines are already feeling it…

The monster reminds me of a series of monster kits Lindberg did back in the 60’s. Said figures were almost expressionistic in their appearance, and were very simple kits made of two halves (front section and back section) and fake hair. I think they were from Lindberg. Most every company tried their hand at a monster line during the 60’s boom.
