Monster of the Day #1562

This poster promises a monster far more elaborate than the one in the film, but to be fair, there’s some nudity and lots of violence, so I doubt audiences of the time were disappointed.

    ‘Nudity and violence’

Um, what else do you need in a B movie? Who cares about that silly stuff like plot or characterization??? ;)

  • You don’t even need nudity. Just a really decent looking monster. That doesn’t make only one appearance, right at the end, then take its creator and jump into a pool of crocodiles my GOD AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES OF MY LIFE I WON’T GET BACK I COULD HAVE BEEN WATCHING QUALITY PAINT DRYING BUT OOOH NOOOO I HAD TO BE WATCHING FRICKIN CURSE OF THE SWAMP CREATURE DIDN’T I WELL THANKS FOR FREAKING NOTHING LARRY BUCHANAN YOU AND YOUR… OH…. PING PONG EYE BALLS!

    But I’m not bitter.

  • And yes, I know that has little to do with the movie in question. I just needed to vent. Again. For the fourth time this month.

    But I’m not bitter.

    Let me guess…non-english titles? Cool.

Dumb question, but does Mexican cinema still do horror movies? Or did they turn away from them?

  • Eric Hinkle

Hey, it works for the SyFy Channel originals!

And yet that lunatic Sharknado franchise actually has some genuine characterization at times and even some change in the characters over time.

  • They don’t seem to be too big on them down there, but Wikipedia, which is of course never ever wrong, states there have been a few made in recent years.

    Thanks for the information.
